Cake Decorating

We are specialist in cake decorating with a cake showroom and many different "already made" flower arrangements available for viewing or sale. Contact us via email or phone to arrange a time to visit our premises and discuss your requirements. We also offer a "we come to you" policy if getting to our store is difficult.  We can provide either traditional or modern cake designs. No job to small or to big..

Our decorators at Make it and Bake it have been decorating cakes for over 24 years, during that time they have come to appreciate that most people are looking for value for money and that is what we try and achieve on each and every occasion, whether a small birthday cake for family or a large wedding cake for 300, you will always get VALUE FOR MONEY, PERSONAL SERVICE AND PROFESSIONAL ADVISE.

We believe we offer a truly unique quoting procedure. We offer many options. You are able to complete our simple questionnaire on this page and email back for a complete no obligation quote. 

You can visit our retail store open 6 days a week to inspect our cake options and discuss your requirements with a quote emailed to you within a few days..

You can request and organise a taste test on any flavoured cake you are after.

You can make an "one on one" appointment to meet our cake decorators (an appointment is required as our cake decorators visit customers and may not always be in the store.)

Finally you can have our decorator visit you 7 days a week with a complete sample range to discuss and organise your requirements.

Regardless of what style of cake you are after there are some standard questions we can ask.  Email us at makeitandbakeit@bigpond.com with the following information for a free quote on any cake decorating project.

 

Style of cake required: Cupcakes, Large -Fruit - Mud - Sponge - Special diet requirements, etc.

Number of cakes/tiers/stacks. If more than one cake required are they to be separate cakes, tier configuration or a stack presentation.  Standard size tins vary from 6" - 16". Novelty cakes and cupcakes made to order.

Size of cake/s: Number of people attending your function will assist us to suggest a size that will be required.

As a guide we have supplied some size suggestions below based on a round cake tin. First example is based on 4"x2" cake serving, second example is based on 2"x2" cake serving.

6"    cake will cater for between 8-16 people.

7"    12-24 people

8"    16-24 people

9"    20-40 people

10"  26-52 people

11"  32-64 people

12"  40-80 people

13"  46-92 people

14"  52-104 people

15"  60-120 people

16"  70-140 people

18"  86-172 people

Shape of cake: Round, square, oval, heart, cupcakes, special theme.

Occasion: The cake is for what occasion. Birthday, wedding, thank you, special event, etc.

Finish/Icing required: Style, colour. (Such as white wedding icing, or chocolate mud cake, flower-icing-special ornaments, theme, etc.)

Decorations/Ornaments required: Birthday, wedding, theme, colours, fresh or icing flowers.

Date required by:  Date required to be picked up or delivered by.

Delivery or Pick up: We offer delivery depending on location.
